John Koenig
John Koenig (born before 1943;. Died after 1944) was an American lieutenant of the Army , one-Designer and for a time for the Oscar nominated for Best Production Design.
Life
As a lieutenant in the US Army, Koenig was involved in the staging of the musical - comedy This Is the Army (1943) directed by Michael Curtiz, starring George Murphy , Joan Leslie and George Tobias . The later US President Ronald Reagan , who was also serving as a lieutenant in the Army at the time, played a supporting role .
For his achievements, Koenig was nominated together with John Hughes and George James Hopkins at the Academy Awards in 1944 for the Oscar for best production design in a color film. This Is the Army was the only film production Koenig was involved in.
