One of his most famous films was the western Cat Ballou, produced in 1964, in Wyoming . Marley also stood in front of the camera in The Godfather in 1972 . But Marley's most enduringly most significant film was Love Story , produced in 1970, for which it was nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award in 1971 .
John Marley was in front of the camera until shortly before his death. He was married twice and has four children, including son Ben Marley , who is also an actor today.
