Joost Broerse (born May 8, 1979 in De Bilt ) is a former Dutch football player .

Career

Broerse began his professional career in 1997 at FC Groningen . In his first season as a professional at this club, his team was relegated to the Eerste Divisie . After two years in the second division, he was promoted again with his team in 2000. In 2003 he moved to FC Utrecht . With this club he was able to win the KNVB Cup and the Johan Cruijff Schaal in 2004 . At the beginning of 2008 he finally moved to Cyprus to APOEL Nicosia where he was twice champion and once cup winner. After three years, his expiring contract was not renewed in the summer of 2011. After a trial session at VVV-Venlo , which did not lead to any new engagement, the SBV Excelsior signed the experienced midfielder in August 2011 . He played one season for Excelsior before moving to PEC Zwolle . After winning the Cup over Ajax Amsterdam in 2014, he ended his career at the end of the 2014/15 season.
