Jordan Malone (born April 20, 1984 ) is a former American short tracker and inline speed skater .

Career

Malone started his career in inline speed skating . In 2003 he won three gold medals and one silver and one bronze medal each. The following year he won two golds and one silver at the 2004 Inline Speed ​​Skating World Championships . He made his debut in the Short Track World Cup in February 2005 in Debrecen . His best result was the ninth place over 1500 m. In the same month he won his first World Cup victory with the relay in Spišská Nová Ves . At the Short Track World Championships in Beijing in 2005 and in Minneapolis in 2006 , he won the bronze medal with the relay. In the 2006/07 season he came on the podium for the first time with third place in Saguenay in the World Cup singles. A second place over 1000 m followed in Montreal . In Heerenveen he won the 1000 m and 1500 m. At the last World Cup of the season in Budapest he was over 1000 m and third in the relay and finished ninth in the overall World Cup over 1500 m at the end of the season. At the season highlight, the 2007 Short Track World Championships in Milan , he won the bronze medal with the relay. In the following season he came third at the World Cup in Milan over 1000 m and over 1500 m and in Québec with the relay to second place and at the end of the season he reached sixth place in the overall World Cup over 1000 m and fifth place in the overall World Cup 1500 m. He won the gold medal at the 2008 Short Track Team World Championships in Harbin . In the 2008/09 season he took second place over 1000 m in the World Cup in Sofia and in the 2009/10 season in Seoul . At the Short Track Team World Championships 2009 in Heerenveen he won bronze and at the Short Track World Championships 2009 in Vienna the gold medal with the relay. In February 2010 he won the bronze medal with the relay at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . He also achieved 29th place over 500 m. The following month he won the silver medal with the relay at the 2010 Short Track World Championships in Sofia. In his last active season 2013/14 he won the silver medal with the relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and came in 28th place over 500 m.
