José Antonio Reyes Calderón (born September 1, 1983 in Utrera , Seville province , † June 1, 2019 ibid) was a Spanish football player . He came from the youth of Sevilla FC and was active for the club at the beginning of his career and again from 2012 to 2016. Reyes also played successfully at Arsenal , Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid , among others . At Arsenal FC he was one of the Invincibles (German Die Unschlagbaren ), who were undefeated English champions in 2004 . In addition to another Spanish championship with Real Madrid, winning the Europa League five times (twice with Atlético Madrid, three times with Sevilla FC) is one of his greatest successes.

In January 2004 he was signed for 25 million euros (17 million British pounds) from Arsenal FC , with whom he won the English championship that same year. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season he was loaned out to Real Madrid for a year . In return, Júlio Baptista moved to Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid. Both clubs were given an option to purchase the loaned players at the end of the season.
