Josef Einwanger

Josef Einwanger (born February 8, 1935 in Bachham ) is a German writer .

Life

Josef Einwanger is the son of a laborer who died in World War II . After attending elementary school and a grammar school up to 8th grade, he completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and practiced this profession for 15 years. After attending evening grammar school, he passed his school leaving examination in 1968 and then studied education for six semesters at the Munich University of Education . He then worked as a primary and special school teacher in Altötting and Simbach am Inn . From 1979 he published literary works and produced literary and youth programs for the Bavarian radio . In 1985 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . Today Einwanger lives as a freelance writer in Burghausen / Upper Bavaria .

Josef Einwanger is the author of novels and books for young people .

Josef Einwanger is a member of the Association of German Writers . In 1982 he received a literary advancement award from the city of Munich .
