Josef Nuka David Paulus Tarrak-Petrussen (also known under the stage name Tarrak ; born November 5, 1998 in Nanortalik ) is a Greenlandic rapper and film producer .

Life

Josef Tarrak-Petrussen is the son of a Greenlander and a Moroccan . In 2016 he released his first album FxFxS , from which the song Tupilak was a great success. In 2017 he toured Greenland and abroad. In 2019 his second album Josef Tarrak was released , which was performed as a theater performance in collaboration with the director Pipaluk K. Jørgensen at Katuaq in Nuuk . In his songs he addresses the unequal treatment of Greenlanders and Danes even after the colonial era and the problems of Greenlandic society. Tarrak also heads Tarrak Productions , which has been producing music videos since 2017.

2017 he played a role in the online sci-fi series Polar of Aka Hansen . In 2018 he was the cameraman for Pipaluk K. Jørgensen's film Anori .

In 2017 he received the young talent award of the Koda Award and in the same year the encouragement / young talent award of the Greenland Culture Award . He has been with the nine years older politician Paninnguaq Tarrak-Petrussen since December 2017. Heilmann, with whom he has a stepdaughter and a child.
