Joseph Puetz

Joseph Pütz (born November 3, 1903 in Ohligs , † September 9, 1982 in Solingen ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Pütz briefly studied economics and then took over his father's wholesale business. Following his political activities, he was a member of the supervisory bodies of banks and savings banks. Pütz had been a member of the Catholic student association VKDSt since 1923. Eckart (Strasbourg) zu Cologne in his CV (merged with KDSt.V. Rappoltstein in 1977 ).

Political party

After the Second World War, Pütz was one of the founders of the CDU in Solingen and Ohligs. From 1968 to 1973 he was chairman of the local political association of the CDU and CSU in Germany .

MP

Pütz had been a member of the citizens' committee of the city of Solingen since 1945, was a member of the city council from 1946 to 1962 and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there for a long time. From 1950 to 1954 and from 1958 to 1970 he was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .

Public offices

From August 1960 to December 1966 Pütz served as Minister of Finance in the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia led by Prime Minister Franz Meyers .

Honors

In 1964, Pütz received the Solingen ring of honor.
