Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data is an American trade journal for process engineering and technical chemistry . The journal is published by the American Chemical Society and deals with findings from research and development as well as their implementation in technical practice and application in industry. A special focus is the publication of experimental data and the evaluation and theoretical precalculation of material properties. This involves physical and thermodynamic data as well as mass transfer data of well-defined substances including complex mixtures of known compositions. Systems with environmental relevance and those of biochemical interest are also dealt with.

The impact factor in 2014 was 2.037. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 61st out of 157 journals in the multidisciplinary chemistry category and 50th out of 134 journals in the chemical engineering category.
