The Journal of Mediterranean Archeology has been published by the Sheffield Academic Press since 1988 . It is the only archaeological journal devoted exclusively to the Mediterranean . The time frame ranges from the Paleolithic to the early modern period , the spatial one from the Iberian Peninsula to Jordan , from the Pyrenees and Alps to the Atlas Mountains , but includes the Sahara , if its cultures have influenced the Mediterranean.
The editors are A. Bernard Knapp , John F. Cherry and Peter van Dommelen . The JMA does not offer reviews. The journal appears in June and December each year.
