Jukka Ollila (born March 1, 1973 in Oulu ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player who played on the position of defender . In Germany he played for EHC Neuwied , ES Weißwasser , ETC Crimmitschau and EA Kempten . Most recently, he was the head coach of the upper division Passau Black Hawks .

Career

Ollila began his career in the 1990/91 season with Ilves Tampere , where he was used in the first year exclusively in the squad of the U20 team. Only in the following season was he allowed to play in the professional team in the SM-liiga . He was appointed to the Finnish national ice hockey team for the Junior European Championships in 1991 and for the Junior World Championships in 1992 and 1993 . Within the league and the city, he moved to Tappara Tampere for two seasons in 1994 , before moving to SaiPa Lappeenranta for another year .

Then Ollila moved to Germany, where he joined the EHC Neuwied from the 1st League North in 1997 . With the club he was able to win the championship of the second-class first division, left the team after winning the title to switch to ES Weißwasser . Also after only one year, the Finn went to the 1st League South to ETC Crimmitschau and in the following season to HC Caen from the French Ligue Magnus . For the 2000/01 season he returned again for two seasons to ETC Crimmitschau. In 2002 there was another move to Ligue Magnus for HC Mulhouse . His last season as an active player he spent in 2003/04 at EA Kempten in the league . From 2007 he worked as a coach at EHC 80 Nuremberg from the fourth-class Bayernliga . From the beginning of the 2010/11 season he was the head coach of the Passau Black Hawks in the major league. In late January 2012, he was fired and replaced by Dave Rich .

In the summer of 2014, Ollila hired as a junior coach at ESC Dresden . At the end of 2015, he took over the post of head coach for Thomas Popiesch , who was on leave, on the Saxon professional team , but was replaced by Canadian Bill Stewart before the next league game .
