Julián Soler

Julián Soler (born February 17, 1907 in Jiménez / Chihuahua , † May 5, 1977 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican actor and director.

Julián Soler came from the Soler family of cineastes. His parents were the actors Domingo Díaz García and Irene Pavia Soler , his siblings Fernando , Andrés , Domingo and Mercedes Soler . He studied painting and initially worked as a decorator. On the advice of his brother Fernando he appeared in the play El amigo de Teddy and toured all of Mexico between 1930 and 1935 as a member of the theater troupes of Virginia Fábregas and María Teresa Montoya .

He had his first film experience with supporting roles in ¿Cuándo te suicidas? (1931) and Pecado de amor (1934), his official film debut in 1934 in Chucho el Roto . In total, his filmography as an actor includes more than 50 titles. In 1943, Raúl De Anda gave him the direction of the film Tormenta an la cumbre , in which he also appeared as an actor alongside Raquel Rojas and Pituka De Foronda . With Tito and Víctor Junco , Luis Aldás and Gregorio Wallerstein , he staged the play El caso de una mujer asesinada , in which Lucy Gallardo made her debut, at the Teatro Arena .

Soler was married to actress Julieta Palavicini for 39 years , with whom he had four children. He died in 1977 of complications from emphysema.
