Juliana von Stockhausen (also: Juliane von Stockhausen , married name: Juliana von Gatterburg , born December 21, 1899 in Lahr , Grand Duchy of Baden , † April 28, 1998 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) was a German writer .

Life

Juliana von Stockhausen was the daughter of a lieutenant colonel . She attended a high school for girls . In 1924 she married Count Ferdinand von Gatterburg. The couple lived in Mauer near Vienna , at Eberstadt Castle in the Odenwald and later in Ingelheim .

Juliana von Stockhausen was the author of successful novels , short stories and radio plays . Her narrative works, which are shaped by the author's Catholicism and are often set in the world of the nobility , mostly deal with historical topics, e.g. B. the story of the early Japanese researcher Philipp Franz von Siebold in the two volumes "The Man in the Crescent Moon" and "The Adventurous Journeys of Philipp Franz von Siebold".

Juliana von Stockhausen was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class in 1960 and the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg in 1985.
