Julie Goldman (* before 1997 in New York City , New York ) is an American film producer specializing in documentary films .

Career

Her career began in 1997 as a film producer for the film Free Floaters . In the 2000s she worked as a producer on a number of documentaries. Goldman founded Motto Pictures in 2009.

For her participation in the film Manhunt - The Hunt for Bin Laden , she received an Emmy in the category Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special and has been nominated for this award two more times. At the Oscar ceremony in 2017 Goldman received with Roger Ross Williams in the category " Best Documentary " an Oscar nomination for the film Life, Animated . She received her second Oscar nomination at the 2018 Academy Awards for the film Abacus: Small Enough to Jail .

Julie Goldman is owned by the Producers Guild of America and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences .
