The Jung RK 8 B is a diesel locomotive that was built in at least twelve copies by the Arnold Jung Lokomotivfabrik in Kirchen (Sieg) . It was primarily intended for shunting use in the factory.

The type designation describes the main features of the locomotive: The first two capital letters indicated the type of machine and the type of power transmission. The following number describes the power in PS multiplied by ten, the following capital letter describes the wheel alignment . It is an R angierlokomotive with K ettenantrieb of the axes from the (hydraulic) gear, an engine power of 8 0 PS and the wheel arrangement B , that is, two driven axles. This designation scheme is typical for the locomotives of the third and fourth generation of young diesel locomotives. The RK 8 B is the weakest of a total of five B-coupled locomotive designs of the third generation.

Only a few copies of the Jung RK 8 B were built between 1963 and 1972. At least ten locomotives are still there.
