Juraj Minčík (born March 27, 1977 in Spišská Stará Ves ) is a former Slovak canoeist .

Career

Juraj Minčík became Junior World Champion in 1995 with the team in single canoes . A year later he finished 15th in the C-1 slalom at the Atlanta Olympics . During his career, he was with the team five times (1998, 200, 2002, 2005 and 2007) European champion and twice world champion ( 1997 and 2003 ).

At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , he started again in the C-1 slalom competition and won the bronze medal.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics , he was the coach of Ladislav Škantár , Peter Škantár and Matej Beňuš .
