Yuri Dmitrijewitsch Kasparjan ( Russian Юрий Дмитриевич Каспарян ; born June 24, 1963 in Leningrad ) is a Russian guitarist.

Life

In 1964 he moved with his family to Leningrad, where he still lives today. He graduated from the technical college there.

From 1982 to 1990 he was the guitarist of the rock group Kino , parallel to Kino he also worked on the Pop-Mechanika project . He toured a lot in the USSR, Italy, Denmark, Finland, France and Germany. His guitar can be heard in soundtracks from films such as Gospodin Oformitel , Igla and Gusi Lebedi .

From 1990 Kasparjan worked together with the art band Atrium Drakonowy Kljutschi . He wrote music for concept projects such as Drakonowy Klyuchi , Taranawtika , Articulation .

In 1991 he played in the band Petlja Nesterowa as a session musician, but left them again in the same year. After that he was musically inactive for 10 years.

In 1997 he took part as a composer in the project of Sergei de Rokambol Nesakonno Roschdjonny Ili Alchemy Doctor Faust - Pernaty Smei and Swjosdny Padl .

Since autumn 2001 Kasparjan has been playing with Vyacheslav Butusov (former front man of Nautilus Pompilius ) as guitarist in the band Ju-Piter .
