The dough is made from flour , yeast , salt and water . The coating consists of grated cheese ( mountain cheese , Gruyere , Appenzeller . Räßkäse or similar), eggs and finely chopped onions . The mass is seasoned with salt, pepper and nutmeg .

Käsdönnala (singular: Käsdönnölö , also Lustenauer Käsfladen) is a type of cheese cake from Lustenau in Vorarlberg. The cheese flatbread is a specialty in Lustenau, at Lustenauer Kilbi the Käsdönnala are made in large quantities by the local bakers.

The dough is made from flour, yeast and oil. The topping is made from grated Rheintaler cheese (a very spicy Vorarlberg cheese specialty), margarine or soft butter, finely chopped onions, eggs and a little milk. This mass is seasoned with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
