Kōki saga

Kōki Saga ( Japanese 嵯峨 宏 紀 , Saga Kōki ; born April 25, 1983 in Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese automobile racing driver .

Career

Saga began his motorsport career in karting in 2000 , where he was active until 2003. Saga finished fifth in the Japanese Formula Toyota in 2004 . In 2005 he moved to Le Beausset Motorsports in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship and ended his first season in 13th place overall. In the following two years he finished the Japanese Formula 3 championship in eleventh place in the championship and achieved a podium finish overall. In 2006 he also competed in the Super GT . In this series he won the GT300 classification once and finished the season in 13th place in the GT300 classification. In 2008 he improved in the Japanese Formula 3 championship with a podium finish to seventh place in the championship. He also competed in the Macau Grand Prix and a Super GT race. In 2009 he achieved two podium finishes in the Japanese Formula 3 championship. He also started at the Macau Grand Prix one more time. In 2010 Saga played his sixth season in Japanese Formula 3. This season he scored two victories in the season finale and finished the championship in fourth place. He also started in the Super GT and was tenth in the GT300 classification of the Super GT.

In 2011 Saga switched to Formula Nippon , in which he also competed for Le Beausset Motorsports. He remained without points and finished the season in 17th place. In addition, he was 16th in the GT300 classification of the Super GT.
