Cabinet Nazif
The Nazif cabinet was the government of Egypt from July 9, 2004 to January 29, 2011 .
history
It was selected by the National Democratic Party under the significant influence of Gamal Mubarak and appointed by Muhammad Hosni Mubarak .
The cabinet resigned on January 29, 2011 in the wake of the 2011 revolution in Egypt . On February 4, 2011, the public prosecutor announced that an investigation was underway against Interior Minister Habib al-Adli , Tourism Minister Soheir Garranah , Housing Minister Ahmed al-Maghrabi and Trade and Industry Minister Raschid Mohamed Raschid . Those affected are banned from traveling and their accounts have been frozen.
On February 12, 2011, former Minister of Information Anas Ahmed Nabih El-Fiqqi was placed under house arrest by the Supreme Military Council on suspicion of corruption and resigned from his ministerial office. Investigations for corruption are also ongoing against Nazif himself (February 2011).
