The Kahlersberg is 2350 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Hagen Mountains in the Berchtesgaden Alps on the border between Germany ( Bavaria ) and Austria ( Salzburg ).
From the west, a steep, marked path (path 496) leads through the mouse hole to the summit. From the southwest, from the Landtal valley, you can reach the summit via the iron path, a very steep path in places with old markings. A pathless descent variant leads from the so-called Fensterl , a notch with a striking, small pit (on the right in the picture the fourth notch to the left of the summit), north into the depression between Kahlersberg and Hochseeleinkopf. This descent mostly leads over steep scree.
The Seeleinsee lies below the Kahlersberg .
