The Kaikadi is a terrier dog breed named after a nomadic tribe in Maharashtra , India . It can be white, yellow-brown and black. The dogs are small (about 16 inches or less) with thin long legs but powerful thighs and ankles. They are excellent watch dogs, but are also used to hunt rabbits and to keep the house and yard free of rodents and other troublemakers. The tail is long and pointed. The head is long and thin with showy eyes and long ears that stand upright when alerted. Despite clearly belonging to the terrier family, he is very similar to whippet dogs .
