The 5th California Tour took place May 16-23, 2010. For the first time this bike race was held in May instead of the usual February. It was held in eight stages and over a distance of 1301.3 kilometers. The tour is part of the UCI America Tour 2010 and classified there in the highest category 2.HC.

For the first time in the history of this tour, it was not an American who won , but the Australian Michael Rogers from the HTC-Columbia team .
