course

The Kaltenmühlbach rises at 815  m above sea level. NN from the so-called Drei Brunnen at the foot of the Entenbühl (901 m) at the Silberhütte near the border. After a few hundred meters, the small stream reaches the hamlet of Altglashütte. There he enters a pond after three kilometers .

The Silberbach flowing out of the bifurcation on the left splits again after a few kilometers; part of the water flows back to the Kaltenmühlbach as the Urtlbach. The Silberbach flows directly into the Waldnaab .

After the Kaltenmühlbach has regenerated after its branching off, it flows through a deep valley, where it grows into a small river through the confluence of numerous streams. After a few farms, it flows under road 2172 ( Plößberg  -  Bärnau ) and flows into the still young Waldnaab at the Kaltenmühle.
