Cape Kormakitis , Greek Ακρωτήριο Κορμακίτη ( Turkish Koruçam Burnu , also Kormacit Burnu ), is located roughly in the middle of the north coast of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus , on the western foothills of the Beşparmak Mountains .

Cape Kormakitis forms the northernmost point of the western bay of Morfou (currently Güzelyurt); The nearest coastal town is Kyrenia (Girne) to the east .

Not far from the cape is the village of Kormakitis / Koruçam , which gave the cape its name and is considered the historical center of the Maronites .
