Karel V. Rypáček

Karel V. Rypáček (born January 9, 1885 in Hodětín , †  March 11, 1957 in Brno ) was a Czech journalist and translator .

Life

Before the First World War , Rypáček worked as a journalist in Prague . Later he was editor of the daily Slovenský deník in Bratislava for many years .

In addition, he translated from Polish , from Ukrainian and especially from the Scandinavian languages Norwegian and Swedish into Czech , some books, for example by Selma Lagerlöf and Knut Hamsun , also into Slovak .
