He actively supported Goldammer with the processing of volumes 4–7 (interpretation of the Psalter of David) of section 2: “Theological and philosophical writings” of the Sudhoff edition of the “Complete Works” by Paracelsus. In 1963, the Paracelsus Bibliography 1932–1960 was published as a result of this work . With a directory of newly discovered Paracelsus manuscripts (1900–1960) . Not least because of this, Weimann distinguished himself as a Paracelsus researcher .

When working with the Paracelsus manuscripts he learned in Marburg librarian William Totok know, who worked in Marburg since 1957th When Totok became director of the Lower Saxony State Library in Hanover in 1962 , Weimann soon followed him to Hanover. From 1964 until his retirement he was deputy director of the Lower Saxony State Library in Hanover. In this office, too, he continued to research and publish on Paracelsus . His main task, however, was to participate in the planning of the new library building on Waterloostraße, which opened in 1976 and which was created by the Göttingen architects Brütt & Matthies and planned in collaboration with ministerial director Rolf Schneider from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education.
