Karl-Martin Dietz (* 1945 in Heidelberg ) is a German classical philologist , social philosopher and cultural scientist . He gained fame primarily through the development of the concept of dialogical leadership .

Career

Karl-Martin Dietz studied classical philology, German literature , philosophy and economics at the University of Heidelberg , the University of Tübingen and in Rome . In 1976 he received his doctorate with a thesis on pre-Socratic philosophy. From 1974 to 1980 he taught at the Department of Classical Philology at Heidelberg University. From 2003 to 2010 he held a lectureship at the Institute for Entrepreneurship at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on the subject of dialogic leadership . In 1978 he founded the Friedrich von Hardenberg Institute for Cultural Studies together with Thomas Kracht , in the context of which he has been active ever since.

In addition to his work on corporate management and corporate culture, Dietz mainly publishes on ancient philosophy and philology, on intellectual and contemporary topics, on school management, especially in self-managed Waldorf schools , and on anthroposophy.
