Karsten Krannich

Karsten Krannich (born July 29, 1965 ) is a former German soccer player .

Athletic career

Krannich comes from the youth of the Heidenheimer SB . In 1985, the goalkeeping talent moved to the second division relegated SSV Ulm 1846 in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . Here, however, he was overshadowed by Thomas Richter , who was also newly signed up, and only made one stake in winning the third division championship. After returning to the 2nd Bundesliga , he stayed in this role under coach Werner Nickel , in the following two seasons he played a total of three alongside players such as Victor Lopes , Marcus Sorg , Dieter Kohnle , Günter Berti , Ralf Todzi and Peter Assion Second division games and conceded a total of seven goals, none of the games could win the "Spatzen". After relegation in 1988, he left the club and moved to Austria to Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz

Further career

Krannich operates a car workshop in Lindau . From the summer of 1998 Krannich was coach of the FC Isny league club for one season , after which he was involved in youth work at FV Ravensburg . In 2000 he took over the coaching position for the second team at SpVgg Lindau , where he stayed for only one year and joined FC Wangen 05 . Here, the holder of a UEFA A license worked as a youth coach and later head of youth sports before he was promoted to head coach in summer 2005. On October 31 of that year, they parted ways after Krannich announced a Sunday training at the press conference after a 3-1 home defeat against SV Fellbach and the players announced a boycott. In 2010 he returned to FC Isny, where he resigned in mid-August after internal quarrels. In 2012 he took over the management of the team of the FC RW Langen club in Langen near Bregenz in Austria.

In 2017, he and Reiner Calmund supported the cosmetic surgeon Werner Mang , when he was elected as the new chairman of the board of the regional league club SpVgg Lindau, which has since been relegated to the bottom division, and took on the role of sports director. In October 2019 he announced his withdrawal, whereupon Mang also announced his withdrawal.
