The Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista in Ragusa is the cathedral of the Diocese of Ragusa , a diocese in the ecclesiastical province of Syracuse in the ecclesiastical region of Sicily of the Roman Catholic Church .

After the earthquake of 1693, the upper town was rebuilt and from 1706 the generously planned parish church was built, which was completed in 1760. The interior of the compact church is characterized by its smooth columns. The interior is from the 19th and 20th centuries.

The church has been the cathedral church of the diocese since 1950.
