action

One afternoon after a hockey game at a bus stop, Anna is ambushed by three teenagers, brutally and repeatedly kicked and beaten with an iron bar. Although a hospital stay of several weeks is necessary, she and her husband decide to convince the children Lina - five years old - and Jan - around fifteen - that the injuries were caused by an accident. She survives the trial against the three perpetrators, in which Anna testifies as a witness, only by believing that the three accused will be convicted. When the punishment for the youngest of the three perpetrators - Marco - consists only of social hours, their trust in the rule of law is shaken. At the same time, Anna refuses to accept the consequences of the attack - she refuses psychotherapy and immediately wants to work again in the construction company that she set up with her husband. She is more traumatized than she can and will admit. Single-handedly - without informing her family or the police - Anna tries to prove another crime to Marco. She gets to know his girlfriend, who is badly treated and beaten by Marco, she gets to know her son Jan - who falls in love with the girl and wants to protect her - and suddenly Anna is back in the hospital: Jan is only slightly injured, Marco, whom he is injured with a knife, seriously. It remains unclear whether the injuries are based on self-defense or whether Jan attacked in a planned manner. Anna also gets to know Marco's mother at the clinic - who doesn't know that she is a victim of her son. First understanding is emerging. The film ends with the family having breakfast together, during which Anna cannot follow the stories from her daughter Lina's kindergarten.
