Kelly Sildaru (born February 17, 2002 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian freestyle skier .
Career
Sildaru has been participating in the AFP World Tour competitions since 2013. They won in February 2013 in SFR Freestyle Tour in Vars in Slopestyle her first competition. In the 2013/14 season she won three slopestyle victories at the SFR Freestyle Tour and came second in the halfpipe of the Canadian Open Tour in Mount St. Louis Moonstone . After finishing second in the halfpipe and first in slopestyle at The North Face Freeski Open of New Zealand in Cardrona at the beginning of the 2014/15 season, she won three times at the SFR Freestyle Tour and twice at the Canadian Open Tour. In March, she won all three competitions (Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air) at The Sony SnowCrown event in Blue Mountain . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season she won the Slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and at the SFR Freestyle Tour in Val Thorens .
In January 2016 she won the gold medal in Slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen , making her the youngest gold medalist at the X Games. At the X-Games Oslo 2016 she finished fourth in Big Air. In March 2016 she won the European Freeski Open in Laax and the SFR Freestyle Tour in La Clusaz and at the end of the season she finished first in the AFP World Tour Slopestyle overall ranking . At the beginning of the following season, she triumphed at the Cardrona Games in the halfpipe and in slopestyle and at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge in slopestyle.
At the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen , she won the silver medal in Big Air and again the gold medal in Slopestyle. In February 2017 she won the slopestyle at the SFR Freestyle Tour in La Clusaz. At the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell in March 2017, she won the silver medal in the Big Air competition. At the 2017 Junior World Championships in Crans-Montana and Chiesa in Valmalenco , she won gold in both slopestyle and halfpipe.
At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, she started the World Cup in Cardrona for the first time . She won her first World Cup victory in slopestyle and came second in the halfpipe. Due to injury, however, she missed the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang . In August 2018, the then 16-year-old won the silver medal in Big Air and the gold medal in slopestyle and halfpipe at the Junior World Championships in Cardrona.
At the Winter X Games 2019 in Aspen, she won a complete set of medals. The third run in Slopestyle was rated by the jury with 99.0 points. At the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she won her first gold medal in the halfpipe.
In January 2020 in Lausanne she won the gold medal in slopestyle at the Winter Youth Olympic Games and the gold medal in slopestyle and halfpipe at the Winter X-Games .
