The Kemmler is 506.8  m above sea level. NHN high mountain on the southern edge of Plauen in the Vogtland . After the Culmberg to the south, it is the second highest point in Plauen and is considered its local mountain . The rock ridge can be traced back to volcanic activities in the Devonian , which created basalt masses , from which diabase was created through subsequent internal mineral changes . The hilltop is forested. The Kemmler Tower is on top of it .
