Kevin Hill (born June 27, 1986 in Chilliwack ) is a Canadian snowboarder and reigning Vice World Champion (2015). He starts in snowboard cross.

Career

Hill mainly participated in the Nor-Am Cup from 2007 to 2009. He drove his first World Cup race in February 2009 in Cypress Mountain , which he finished in 23rd place. In January 2010 he took sixth place in Stoneham, his first top ten placement in the World Cup. In January 2011 he won silver in snowboard cross at the Winter X Games . At the Snowboard World Championships 2011 in La Molina , he achieved 14th place. At the Snowboard World Championship 2013 in Stoneham , he finished 33rd. In December 2013 he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with third place in Montafon . A day later, he and Jake Holden took second place in the team competition. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he came in eighth. He finished the 2013/14 season in sixth place in the snowboard cross ranking.

At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships in snowboard cross, he finished second behind the Italian Luca Matteotti in Kreischberg . A week later he won gold in snowboard cross at the Winter X Games . In March 2015 he reached third place twice in Veysonnaz and finished the 2014/15 season in fourth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. In the 2015/16 season he finished in the top ten three times in the World Cup, including second place in Baqueira-Beret and at the end of the season he finished 11th in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. In March 2016 he became the Canadian snowboard cross champion. The following season he finished eighth in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. His best individual result was fourth place at the last World Cup of the season in Veysonnaz. Also there he was third in the team competition together with Christopher Robanske . At the season highlight of the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he came 21st in the individual and together with Christopher Robanske won the bronze medal in the team competition. The following year he finished 14th at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . In the 2018/19 season he finished third in Baqueira-Beret and at the end of the season he finished tenth in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. At the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , he came in 30th place.
