The settlement Kiekemal (also Colonie Kiekemal ) was a place in the area of today's Berlin district Mahlsdorf in the district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf . After extensive construction work in the 1980s, the area is now mainly built up with multi-storey residential buildings.

Kiekemaler Straße in Mahlsdorf-Süd, named after the origin of its location Kiekemal

It was officially founded on June 24, 1753. Just like in neighboring Friedrichshagen , the Prussian King Friedrich II settled here immigrants from Württemberg . The name of the colony should also be traced back to this, as he referred the people there with the sentence "Well, hey, it will be long for you!" The three families with 26 members came from the place Plattenhardt , they should get free building and arable land and be exempt from taxes. However, due to various criminal offenses, they never received this and thus became day laborers and not settlers as planned.
