Kika van Es (born October 11, 1991 in Boxmeer , Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player . The defender played for various clubs in the Eredivisie and from the 2019/20 season for Everton FC . She has played in the Dutch national team since 2009 .
Career
societies
Van Es began her career with the youth of Olympia '18 in Boxmeer and moved to Willem II in the Eredivisie for two years in 2008 . In 2010 she moved to the new team VVV-Venlo and after the club was dissolved in 2012, she moved with the other players of the team to PSV / FC Eindhoven , which played in the new BeNe League .
In summer 2016 she moved to Achilles '29 and in summer 2017 to FC Twente . After a season she moved again, now to Ajax Amsterdam and won the Dutch Women's Cup with the club. But even here she only stayed one season and then moved to Everton FC . Due to a knee operation, she missed the start of the season.
National team
With the U-19 national team, she took part in the U-19 European Women's Football Championship in 2010 , where the Dutch women failed in the semifinals on penalties to England.
In 2009 she became a member of the Dutch national team , for which she played her first game on November 21, 2009 against Belarus . In June 2013 she was, as one of the last three players, removed from the squad for the 2013 European Championship in Sweden by national coach Roger Reijners . She was also appointed to the Oranjes squad for the 2017 European Championship in the Netherlands and was used in all games in this tournament, only being substituted in the final in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
In the subsequent qualification for the 2019 World Cup , she was only used in two group games, but the four playoff games and qualified with her team for the World Cup. She was then nominated for the World Cup on April 10th. At the World Cup, which ended in second place for her team, she was only used in the two group games and in the round of 16 against Japan .
