Years later, lawyer Richard Bär is returning to his old Bavarian homeland, where he meets his father, with whom he has fallen out, for the first time in all that time. Professionally, Bär receives a request to defend Anne Millner, who is in custody. Millner is said to have stabbed her friend Jonas Bernhuber. The murdered man's father burdens her very much.
