Klaus-Dieter Wachlin

Klaus-Dieter Wachlin (born January 18, 1959 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga . In the top division of the GDR soccer association , he played for FC Hansa Rostock . He is a two-time GDR junior national player.

Wachlin played from 1975 in the junior team of FC Hansa Rostock. In October 1976 he played two internationals with the GDR junior national team: GDR - Poland (1-0) and GDR - Bulgaria (1-0) as a center forward. At that time he had already played his first games for Hansa Rostock in the junior league. During the 1976/77 season he was in the youth team 20 times, usually played center forward and scored four goals. Towards the end of the season, coach Helmut Hergesell Wachlin also tried out in the major league. On the 23rd, 25th and 26th matchday he was used as a right striker. His first league game was the match between FC Hansa Rostock and FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt (2-0) on April 30, 1977. Since the first team of FC Hansa was relegated to the GDR league after this season , the junior team also had to play in the junior league leave and continue playing as Hansa II in the third-rate Rostock district league . In the second division games of the 1977/78 season Wachlin was not used, and after the immediate resurgence he was nominated again for the revived youth team. There he was a regular player until the beginning of 1979 as a center forward with 14 appearances. During the second half of the season he became a substitute for the league team and played another six league games between matchday 18 and 24, including only one 90-minute game as a right striker. 1979/80 Hansa had to play again as relegated in the GDR league, Wachlin belonged again to the squad of the district division Hansa II. For the 1st team Wachlin played only one point game on the 4th matchday. For the 1980/81 season, Wachlin was neither part of the first team nor the junior team and did not appear in higher-class football after that. Between 1988 and 1992 he was a player for FSV Bentwisch in the Rostock district class (7th league).
