Klaus-Peter Schroeder

Klaus-Peter Schroeder (born February 24, 1947 in Heidelberg ) is a German legal scholar , legal historian and professor at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg .

Life

After graduating from high school in Heilbronn in 1966, Schroeder began studying law at Heidelberg University . There he passed his first state examination in law in 1970, followed by the second state examination in 1973. That same year he was by the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg with a thesis on the constitutional history of Wimpfen in Adolf run Dr. iur. PhD. In 1989, Schroeder completed his habilitation in Heidelberg and received the Venia legendi for German legal history. He then worked as a private lecturer at the University of Heidelberg. Since 1996 he has been an adjunct professor in the German department of the local institute for historical law. From 1974 to 2006 he was also editor of the legal training magazine . Since 2005, Schroeder has been President of the “Heidelberg Legal History Society”.
