Klaus Bühler

Klaus Bühler (born January 16, 1941 in Bad Sachsa ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and a long-time member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After elementary school , Bühler attended the humanistic grammar school in Bruchsal . This was followed by a teaching degree in Heidelberg and Karlsruhe . In 1965 he became district chairman of the Junge Union in the Bruchsal district , which he remained for ten years.

From 1968 to 1976 he was a member of the Bruchsal municipal council . In addition, from 1971 to 1976 he was a member of the district of Bruchsal and Karlsruhe. He worked as a secondary school teacher until 1974 , after which he became head of the Heidelberg branch for the Karlsruhe administrative district of the state center for political education .

In 1976 he was elected to the Bundestag for the first time and moved into parliament again in the following legislative periods .

Since 1987 he has been a representative of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and at the same time a representative in the Assembly of the Western European Union .

In 2002 he left the Bundestag.

Bühler is active on the board of the Badische Heimat association in Freiburg im Breisgau .
