Klaus Hoppe (engineer)

Klaus Hoppe (born February 13, 1938 in Teltow ; † March 25, 2006 ) was a German engineer .

Life

Klaus Hoppe studied chemical apparatus in Magdeburg , where he received his diploma in 1962 and in 1966 as a Dr.-Ing. PhD. After completing his doctorate, he worked at Germania Chemnitz in the area of ​​research and development. From the late 1970s to 1990 he worked for the chemical plant construction combine Leipzig-Grimma . After the fall of the Berlin Wall , Hoppe went freelance as a consulting engineer for plant construction and process technology. In 1993 he became President of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers , and in 1998 Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Engineers . He held over 100 patents .

Hoppe became the founding chairman of the VDI district group Magdeburg and was among other things chairman of the advisory board of the VDI district associations from 1999 to 2003 and a member of the presidium of the VDI.

Hoppe was buried in the Westfriedhof in Magdeburg .
