Klaus Karl-Kraus (born December 6, 1951 in Erlangen ) is a German cabaret artist , musician , author , presenter and graduate in business administration who performs his appearances in Franconian regional lectures .

Career

The musician Klaus Karl-Kraus appeared on stage for the first time in 1978, at that time still in the music-cabaret duo "Hobelspäne" together with the musician and actor Winni Wittkopp . Two records and a prize (the City of Erlangen's Culture Prize) resulted from this musical connection.

In addition to readings and cabaret performances in the Nuremberg region, he has become known for his television appearances at Carnival in Franconia , in the Franconian Show and as a football reporter for Bavarian Radio . He was also often present on the radio . Occasionally Karl-Kraus appears together with the cabaret artists Martin Rassau and Volker Heissmann (known as Waltraud and Mariechen ).

Klaus Karl-Kraus has published seven CDs and four books so far, including on his stage programs “Karpfen, Klees und ka Wasser” and “Ned ins Gwerch, Gerch”. The book “Ned ins Gwerch, Gerch” is about the Erlanger Bergkirchweih , among other things .

"KKK", as many fans call it, always includes music in the cabaret programs. He writes Franconian songs which he sings with the guitar and which he also published on the solo CD "Etz singt he". With his trio, which is complemented by the pianist Jo Barnikel and the saxophonist Norbert Nagel , he plays his own compositions, but also his own versions of well-known songs, and there are also T-shirts with the imprints "Papa say ja" or "Have you Budderblädzli baggn?" .

Klaus Karl-Kraus describes himself as a Franconian " Aboriginal ". He calls himself a self-confessed 1. FC Nürnberg and SpVgg Greuther Fürth fan and has a specially sewn two-piece jersey that he sometimes wears at his appearances, which, however, has brought him criticism.

Klaus Karl-Kraus has two children. His double name is made up of the last names of his mother and foster parents.

Since July 2009 he has been the sponsor of the Gräfenberg Realschule in the project School without Racism - School with Courage .
