Klaus N. Frick (born December 9, 1963 in Freudenstadt ) is editor-in-chief of the science fiction series Perry Rhodan .

Life

He arrived in 1992 as a publisher's reader and editor for Pabel Moewig publishing house and, in 1995, in place of Florian F. Marzin , the editorial board for the Perry Rhodan series. In this function he is responsible for the editorial content of all Perry-Rhodan series. In 1999 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the series and has been responsible for the Perry Rhodan brand within the publishing house since then.

While still at school he wrote short stories for fanzines and had his first professional publication in 1980 in a Perry Rhodan magazine. After graduating from high school, he worked as a journalist and continued to write short stories for various magazines and anthologies. Within the fandom , he also made a name for himself with the publication of his ego-punk fanzine enpunkt , which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2006.

His sequel to punk Peter Pank, which first appeared in the punk magazine ZAP Fanzine , was later published in book form. The sequel story subsequently appeared in the Ox-Fanzine . The paperback "Zwei Whiskey mit Neumann" is a collection of stories that Frick previously published in his Egozine .

In addition to his work as an editor and author, he regularly holds seminars on the subject of fantastic literature in December and January at the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel and publishes articles in the yearbook Das Science Fiction Jahr .

Frick can also be heard regularly on the radio. His mission enpunkt , which v. a. devoted to the music of punk rock and hardcore from all over the world, he broadcast weekly from 1995 to 2005 on the Free Radio Karlsruhe , from 2006 to 2016 only monthly.

Klaus N. Frick makes a lot of private trips to Africa, away from the usual travel routes. He has published episodes of his impressions, which he has been collecting in his diary on these journeys for 15 years, in his book “The Animal of Garoua” at Dryas Verlag in Oldenburg .

Frick is one of the main characters in the satirical science fiction stories from the fictional Asimov basement bar , for whose book version he wrote the epilogue.
