Garlic to Hatzbach
Knoblauch zu Hatzbach (formerly Knobloch zu Hatzbach , later Knobloch von und zu Hatzbach ) is the name of an old Hessian noble family . The earlier in Hesse landsässige part of the family remains in the still existing Althessischen knighthood enrolled.
history
The direct lineage of the family begins with Heynemannus dictus Cnobeloch , family member of the nobleman Craft from Grafschaft zu Norderna (today Nordenau , part of Schmallenberg in the Sauerland ), first mentioned in a document on March 12, 1291. Heyneman II. Knobelouch from Wepen was enfeoffed as a Ziegenhain Burgmann zu Rauschenberg in 1348 and Hatzbach before 1372, today a district of Stadtallendorf ( Marburg-Biedenkopf district ). Philipp I von Knoblauch zu Hatzbach had a late Gothic church built in Hatzbach between 1485 and 1490 , over which the family always exercised the right of patronage .
