history

The direct lineage of the family begins with Heynemannus dictus Cnobeloch , family member of the nobleman Craft from Grafschaft zu Norderna (today Nordenau , part of Schmallenberg in the Sauerland ), first mentioned in a document on March 12, 1291. Heyneman II. Knobelouch from Wepen was enfeoffed as a Ziegenhain Burgmann zu Rauschenberg in 1348 and Hatzbach before 1372, today a district of Stadtallendorf ( Marburg-Biedenkopf district ).
