The Mae Nam Kok ( แม่น้ำ กก , pronunciation: [mɛ̂ː náːm kòk] , "Kok River"), or just Kok , is a tributary of the Mekong in eastern Myanmar and the northern region of Thailand .
It originates in Shan State in Myanmar . It then flows south to the border Myanmar-Thailand, where he at Tha Ton ( ท่า ตอน ) in the district of Mae Ai in Chiang Mai Province enters into Thailand. About 100 kilometers of its length in Thailand lie in the Chiang Rai Province . It flows through the counties of Mueang Chiang Rai , Mae Chan , Chiang Saen and Wiang Chai .
