Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir

Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir (born July 31, 1955 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( left-green movement ).

Life

Kolbrún studied economics and acting. Between 1980 and 1990 she was program director at Ríkisútvarpið .

She was a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing from 1999 to 2009 . On February 1, 2009 she was appointed Minister of the Environment and Minister for Nordic Cooperation in the Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir I interim government. In the parliamentary elections on April 25, 2009 , Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir was not re-elected; her successor as Environment Minister in the cabinet Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir II was appointed on May 10, 2009 Svandís Svavarsdóttir .
