Konradsdorf is a hamlet and domain and, lying on the district of Selters , part of the town of Ortenberg in the Wetterau district in Hesse . The place is situated on a slight slope above the South East River Nidder between the Ortenberger districts Selters and Effolderbach at the Federal Highway 275 / 457 in the direction Ranstadt .

The place today consists of an agricultural estate, the "Hessian State Domain Konradsdorf", and two schools above it, the Konradsdorf Comprehensive School, which opened in 1974, an additive comprehensive school with a support level and upper secondary level , and the Erich Kästner School for learning and educational assistance .

Today's domain is based on the 1581 repealed monastery Konradsdorf , a women's monastery of Premonstratensian whose structural remains, a pillar basilica and the former provost, are located on the grounds of the estate. According to the website of the domain administration, tours are possible taking into account the needs of the farm. The monastery itself probably emerged from a castle seat of the Lords of Büdingen . Excavations on the church building could prove the tower foundations of a castle around 1000.
