Korandje (also Dandawa ) is a northern Songhai language spoken in Algeria .

It is used by the approximately 8,000 inhabitants of the Tabelbala oasis between Bechar and Tindouf . It is most closely related to the Tasawaq spoken in Niger - also by sedentary people .

Korandje is heavily influenced by Arabic and Berber . Only around 40% of the vocabulary is songhai, around 30% each are Arabic and Berber.
