Kreissparkasse Kölleda

The Kreissparkasse Kölleda was an independent savings bank in Kölleda until 1952 . The savings bank merged into the Kreissparkasse Sömmerda and later into the Sparkasse Mittelthüringen .

The historical development of the Sparkasse in Kölleda

On July 1, 1857, the Kreissparkasse of the Eckartsberga district in Kölleda opened its counters. After the first financial year, the Sparkasse can book 21,999 valleys, 20 silver groschen and 9 pfennigs in savings. The business premises have been in the district building since October 1st, 1880. A renovation and expansion of the business premises in the district building took place in 1904. In 1909 the Sparkasse was able to check. In 1916 the giro traffic was introduced by the German Savings Bank Association . On February 1, 1925, double- entry bookkeeping was introduced and total deposits increased. The branch in Bad Bibra was opened in April 1925, the branch in Eckartsberga was opened in April 1927 and the branch in Wiehe was opened in May 1927 . On July 11, 1928, the Sparkasse was renamed from "Kreissparkasse des Eckartsbergaer Kreis" to "Kreissparkasse Kölleda". In September 1930 a branch was opened in Heldrungen . As of December 31, 1931, savings deposits in the amount of 5,003,118 Reichsmarks as well as current and current account deposits in the amount of 858,097.18 Reichsmarks were recorded. In the course of the territorial reform in 1952, the Sparkasse became a branch of the newly founded Kreissparkasse Sömmerda. On October 30, 1991, the Sparkasse installed the first EC cash dispenser in Kölleda. In 1992 the branch in Kölleda was converted. From 1996 to 1997 a new branch was built on the Markt in Kölleda. After the merger of the Sparkassen Erfurt, Weimar and the Kreissparkasse Sömmerda on May 1, 2003 to form the new Sparkasse Mittelthüringen, Kölleda has become the branch of the new Sparkasse.
