The Kroumirie or Khroumirie is a mountain landscape of the Maghreb . It bears its name after a local people and stretches from western Algeria to Djebel Abiod in Tunisia . On its north side it meets the Mediterranean Sea, in the south on the Medjerda valley .

The Kroumirie is overgrown with extensive cork oak forests, it is one of the wettest areas in North Africa with annual rainfall of 1000 to 1500 mm.
